Cisco India hiring plans intact, to hire around 4,000 people

Cisco System India, a worldwide leader in networking for the internet, has some big hiring plans in India. According to the Cisco CEO, John Chambers, the company has plans to raise the headcount in India to 10,000 from the current around 6,000 employees. In 2007, the company had only 3,000 employees in India.

 

Cisco System India Pvt Ltd started its operations in 1995. The company has seven sales offices in New Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai, Pune, Kolkotta and Hyderabad. Cisco global development center is in Bangalore.

 

India had over 83.987 Cisco Certified Professionals. Currently, there are over 163 Cisco Academies across 23 states & union territories with 17580 Active Students, more than 24% of which are women students; 66,204 students have successfully graduated in CCNA. Read more about CCNP Certification.
