"I exist only when doing something new"
Elucidating Corporate Expectations

When I was invited by a Campus Ambassador, Suresh of Bannari Amman College of Technology, Erode to visit their Campus, I just could not refuse as I found Suresh to be a highly driven CA and Erode was falling on my train route to Cochin, where I am delivering a talk tomorrow. I decided to get off at Erode, do the presentation and catch another train to Cochin from Coimbatore.

The topic of the presentation at BIT was "Elucidating Corporate Expectation", a perfect topic for students. I was picked from the Erode Railway station and I met Suresh in campus. The campus is beautiful and very well laid out. I met a Senior Prof from the Computer Science Dept, Ms Vrinda and she invited me for lunch. Post lunch, Suresh took me around the campus and I visited the TPO, Mr Sankaran. Mr Sankaran turned out to be an old colleague of my father and we exchanged cards. Whenever I visit a TPO, I am welcomed with open hands and it really feels proud to be part of Freshersworld.com then.  Every TPO talks about how they insist the use of our Placement Papers section to every student. I am sure our new module for Placement Officers is going to be a huge hit.

It was 2 PM and students had assembled for the presentation. There was a mix of students from the 1st, 2nd and 3rd year. As it was 2 PM, I had a feeling that the students would be in a sleepy mood. I resorted to giving away freebies and it really worked. The session was interactive with participation coming in more from the girls of the college. I ended the session with some mock interviews and on the whole, all of us had fun. The presentation I used is below

After the presentation, I was gifted with a beautiful Ravi Varma painting replica and some other gifts. I thanked the faculty members and I left for Coimbatore along with Suresh.
Suresh had already announced my arrival to the CAs of Coimbatore and they were waiting for me near the railway station. Vijay and Kartik joined us and we sat down to discuss activities for Coimbatore. Vijay had already created a file with information regarding the CA programme and already had the support of the Faculty at his college. Rather than me coming down again, Suresh volunteered to take a presentation at Vijay's college. This way, the CAs are going to help each other. A brillant thought! We also planned some events for Coimbatore that will take place in the next semester. Kartik has just a month left in college and he has promised to find a worthy replacement. Vijay and Suresh are going to interview candidates.

After all this, tired and weary, I left for Cochin.
